professionally, i am a technology coach at a high school in allentown, pennsylvania. it is my job to work with teachers as they implement new technologies into their classrooms. i also provide professional development opportunities, participate in educational technology conferences, regularly hunt for new ways to use technology for academics, & frequently return to the classroom to team teach. in many ways, it is a perfect job for me as it marries my two greatest passions, education & technology. prior to my current position, i taught tenth grade world cultures for three years.
academically, i am a graduate of penn state & a current graduate student at wilkes university. at psu, i was a secondary education major with a social studies focus. my student teaching practicum was completed with altoona and neshaminy school districts. my graduate study focuses on integrating technology & education.
personally, i am a mac advocate, penn state fanatic, frequent concert-goer, and traveler. although new to the mac platform, it has quickly become my favorite & their is no hope for return to pc. joe paterno is the patron saint of my family. you can often find me debating the talents of the decemberists versus radiohead over a black cup of coffee. countries i've visited include germany, italy, france, switzerland, austria, & jamaica. the uk is next on my list.
