Professionally, I am an instructional technology coach at a high school in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I support faculty & students in the use & integration of technology in the classroom. My days are also spent researching new ways to implement technology in support of academics, presenting at educational technology conferences, & I frequently return to the classroom to model best practices. I also provide professional development opportunities, both in person & online, for teachers across Pennsylvania. In many ways, it is a perfect job for me as it marries my two greatest passions: education & technology. Prior to my current position, I taught high school social studies.
Academically, I earned my undergraduate degree from Penn State & my graduate degree from Wilkes University. At PSU, I was a secondary education major with a social studies focus. My student teaching practicum was completed with Altoona & Neshaminy School Districts. I have experience with many different demographics including at-risk youth, english language learners, & college prep. My graduate study focused on the implementation of 21st century teaching & learning methods. I also work with PBS, as a class facilitator, providing online professional development to teachers.
